Key Responsibilities

  • •Counsel product and engineering teams on issues related to Stripe’s software solutions, including Stripe Revenue Suite, Stripe Profiles, and Stripe Atlas.
  • •Collaborate across Stripe (including engineering, partnerships, privacy and security) to deliver pragmatic legal advice across the product development lifecycle.
  • •Draft, review, and update foundational internal and external-facing terms and documents for Stripe products and services.
  • •Stay up-to-date on laws and regulations for consumer financial data access and analyze regulatory updates and industry trends to advise on potential product impacts.
  • •Partner proactively with the product team by providing legal and strategic input into the evolving product roadmap and strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team, working with technology companies on legal and regulatory aspects of product development.
  • •Proficiency in technology and ability to understand complex operational and business models and multiple product use cases quickly.
  • •Self-starter who can manage multiple work streams and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong ownership mindset and excellent judgment when working with limited information and ambiguity.
  • •Background in technology law and strong written and verbal communication skills.
