Develop and manage the intellectual property (IP) portfolio for semiconductor manufacturing, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. Partner with engineering teams and assess competitive IP assets to support desired business outcomes. Work with legal counsel to acquire IP rights, evaluate cost and risk across manufacturing strategies, and prepare IP contract forms. Negotiate with vendors for IP purchases/licenses and lead complex development and supply transactions. Create training materials to guide future IP strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage the semiconductor manufacturing IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, aligned to business strategy.
•Collaborate with engineering to identify and assess competitive IP assets and their impact on business outcomes.
•Partner with legal counsel to ensure proper IP rights are acquired for specific manufacturing processes.
•Assess cost and risk of IP for manufacturing strategies and advise leadership on which approaches to pursue or avoid.
•Prepare IP contract forms and clauses, create IP strategy playbooks/training materials, and negotiate vendor IP purchases/licenses and complex development and supply agreements.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience in manufacturing.
•3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
•2+ years of experience working with senior executives in the semiconductor industry.
•1+ years of governmental regulation experience related to the semiconductor industry.
•Must be based onsite in Bastrop, TX (remote work not considered) and be willing to travel up to 25%.
