Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment (dozer, track hoe, front end loader, and haul truck) in an open pit mine environment. You’ll safely perform daily pre- and post-inspections, follow OSHA/MSHA and company safety procedures, and report problems to your manager or foreman. The role includes minor servicing and maintenance, training less-experienced employees, coordinating with coworkers during backing using hand signals, and performing general labor duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment used in pit and mining operations.
•Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation and follow company policies.
•Report problems to your manager and follow directions from the foreman for daily tasks and project expectations.
•Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major issues to the foreman.
•Maintain safe working practices with coworkers (including eye contact when backing and communication using hand signals) and assist with training and general labor duties as needed.

Key Requirements

•At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., haul truck, motor grader, bulldozer, excavator, front end loader).
•Experience in the construction field and/or relevant training.
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
•Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical and meet the minimum age requirement (at least 18).
•Maintain a professional attitude and strictly follow safety requirements, including OSHA/MSHA procedures and PPE use.
