Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the embedded clinical partner to a product pod, partnering with clinical, product, engineering, and licensed clinicians using systems-based root-cause medicine principles.
  • •Design and run clinical AI evaluations with engineering: define clinically meaningful outputs, quality thresholds, and rubrics for accuracy, clinical intent, omissions/hallucinations, and medication-safety failure modes.
  • •Translate clinical reasoning into technical specifications (prompts, context, and decision logic), identifying where clinical logic must be embedded in AI systems.
  • •Own the clinical quality bar end-to-end for one or more AI product areas, from kickoff clinical requirements through launch validation and ongoing monitoring.
  • •Identify and flag when product behavior must evolve as evidence, guidelines, or standards of care change.

Key Requirements

  • •MD, DO, or equivalent clinical doctorate with substantial hands-on clinical practice and real patient responsibility.
  • •Deep expertise in one or more clinical domains, ideally with systems medicine/root-cause medicine approaches.
  • •Strong clinical reasoning under time pressure and across long, detailed tasks (distinguishing established vs plausible vs speculative).
  • •Curiosity about how AI systems work and the ability to learn technical craft quickly (LLMs/evaluation/ML experience not required).
  • •Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt clinical information for engineers, PMs, designers, and members.
