Job Summary

Lead end-to-end Last Mile logistics operations, structuring and scaling a 24/7 operation in a dynamic e-commerce environment. Manage and develop large teams (100+ staff), drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with Purchasing, Maintenance, S&OP and other functions to ensure world-class execution and culture at Mercado Envios.

Key Responsibilities

•Structure an operation from zero in Last Mile, focusing on execution excellence and achieving the highest levels of the operational excellence program
•Manage decentralized leadership to ensure 24/7 operations and smooth functioning across shifts
•Develop and coach team leads for large teams (100+ employees), enforcing ethics and promoting MELI culture and DNA
•Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, implementing quality tools, and replicating best practices
•Manage a model site applying the latest sorting technologies and serve as the interface with Purchasing, Maintenance, and S&OP

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration or related fields
•Experience in gemba and in operations (transport, production, retail, e-commerce, inbound, sorting and shipping)
•Experience leading in-house and/or third-party operations teams
•Knowledge of quality tools such as 5S, Kaizen, 5PQs
•Proficiency with Office, BI and AI for extracting and analyzing dashboards
