Job Summary

Oversee practice leadership and day-to-day operations for the Greater Toronto Area, reporting directly to the CEO of Architecture49. Partner with regional leaders to drive business growth, build client relationships, mentor and develop the team, and ensure operational excellence. Own financial accountability (budgets, targets, forecasting) and support brand enhancement through market representation. Collaborate with national leadership and guide major projects as warranted.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee practice leadership and operations in the GTA, working with regional leaders to drive business growth and operational excellence.
•Manage regional budgets and financial results, meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual goals and growth targets.
•Develop and implement regional business strategies, including backlog and net revenue forecasts; stay current on trends and best practices.
•Build and mentor teams through capacity building, training, mentorship, succession planning, and consistent performance reviews.
•Ensure quality and efficiency in project execution; review operational metrics and lead major projects as warranted.

Key Requirements

•Professional designation/education in a design or construction-focused field, with preference for an Ontario-eligible architect for professional registration.
•Demonstrated leadership experience building market presence and fostering team engagement.
•Preference for candidates with 15+ years of experience.
•Strong business acumen with experience in managing multiple teams productively.
•Skilled in project management, project finance, and resource management.
