Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and communicate technical direction for PACSystems software across embedded firmware, controller runtime, industrial communications, and workstation applications.
  • •Lead architecture decisions for deterministic, timing-critical, reliable, scalable, and maintainable real-time industrial automation systems.
  • •Evaluate and select technologies and approaches aligned to product strategy, long-term maintainability, development efficiency, quality, security, and customer needs.
  • •Mentor less experienced developers and guide embedded firmware/runtime software and workstation application development.
  • •Coordinate across product marketing, product management, engineering leaders, firmware/application/quality/release teams and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet market needs and commitments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • •At least 9 years of relevant software engineering experience, or at least 8 years with a master’s degree.
  • •Experience building high-performance embedded real-time systems and working with PLCs, industrial controllers, or industrial automation systems.
  • •Strong C and C++ software development experience.
  • •Experience with real-time operating systems (such as VxWorks or RT Linux) and designing for distributed systems, concurrency, and strict timing/reliability constraints.
