Job Summary

Manage and administer critical SQL Server RDBMS systems across development and mission-critical production environments. Configure and maintain database servers with monitoring, performance tuning, and strong availability and security practices. Handle backups, restores, and recovery models, troubleshoot incidents end-to-end in real time, and support high-availability/disaster-recovery setups (e.g., Always-On, clustering, mirroring). Provide 24x7 production support and perform after-hours maintenance and releases.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement, configure, maintain, and ensure the availability and consistent performance of SQL Server RDBMS systems for client applications.
•Manage SQL Server databases across multiple lifecycle environments from development to production systems.
•Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance to support security and reliability.
•Plan, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability database environments such as Always-On, clustering, and mirroring.
•Provide 24x7 production support, perform after-hours maintenance and release deployments, and independently resolve incidents end-to-end while automating and documenting processes.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience administering SQL Server 2008/2012 and above in an enterprise environment with multiple database servers.
•Experience with database performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
•Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
•Experience administering and troubleshooting high availability and disaster recovery options for SQL Server (e.g., Always-On, clustering, mirroring).
•Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
