Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform PCB schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal, power, and high-speed digital boards, defining stack-up, layer count, and materials to meet electrical/thermal/cost targets.
  • •Design and route power delivery networks for power integrity, including current-carrying capacity, copper weight, thermal reliefs, and routing for DC/DC converters and bus/rail distribution.
  • •Implement high-speed design practices including controlled-impedance routing, differential pair routing, length matching/tuning, and via strategy for interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, and SerDes.
  • •Apply DFM/DFA and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques, support design rule checks/panelization/tolerancing/yield-cost tradeoffs with fabricators and contract manufacturers, and support pre-compliance/regulatory testing as needed.
  • •Generate manufacturing outputs and documentation (Gerbers, drill files, BOMs, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, constraint files), maintain Altium libraries, and provide early layout feasibility input and mentorship to other designers.

Key Requirements

  • •Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, including rule-driven design, layer stack management, and library administration.
  • •At least 5 years of experience in PCB schematic capture and layout design.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and laying out power electronics including DC/DC converters, power planes/bus bars, thermal management, and power protection schemes.
  • •Demonstrated experience with high-speed digital layout: impedance-controlled routing, differential pairs, length matching, via optimization, and stack-up design for GHz-class interfaces.
  • •Knowledge of DFM/DFA and practical EMC/EMI mitigation in layout, plus familiarity with IPC standards (CID/CID+ preferred).
