Key Responsibilities

  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • •Produce and present cost plans, and update them at appropriate design milestones.
  • •Review and collaborate with design services and general contractors to develop cost estimates.
  • •Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure accurate data for estimate updates.
  • •Manage cost checks, valuations, cost variances, contingency management, and lead negotiations to agree final accounts.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •5–7 years of relevant construction cost management experience.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium or large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
