Job Summary

Solve complex electrical engineering problems and improve the electrical discipline across McDermott projects. Serve as an expert resource to less-experienced colleagues, driving conceptual, FEED, study, and detailed design work aligned to project specifications, codes, and standards. Lead electrical project development and coordination, oversee key deliverables and vendor packages, and provide off-site/on-site technical support including FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, energization, commissioning, and start-up.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed analyses and electrical design per design basis, specifications, codes, and standards.
•Prepare and communicate detailed design calculations, analyses, and reports for key deliverables such as load lists, one-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, bills of material, cable sizing, and relay coordination.
•Lead electrical project development and coordination, including coordinating with engineering leads/managers and supervising electrical engineers and designers.
•Lead development and support of vendor packages, including requisition/subcontract packages and coordination of document reviews plus FAT for electrical equipment.
•Provide site support for construction, including technical guidance, SAT supervision, and assistance with pre-commissioning, energization, commissioning, and start-up.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical degree.
•Prefer PE certificate of registration.
•8-15 years of experience in detailed electrical engineering.
•Strong working knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, and electrical standards, codes, and guidelines including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI.
•Intermediate experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, and MS Office Suite (including Excel and Word).
