Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections for assigned fleet vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, power steering, engines gas/diesel, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more).
  • •Document findings on repair orders by uploading pictures and logging parts used via company device and proprietary application.
  • •Communicate with management, team members, dispatch, and customers to obtain approvals on estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers, and discuss findings.
  • •Complete required DOT forms and operate in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT/FMC​​SA regulations while managing parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (light/medium or a combination preferred; related degree/certification or 5 years’ experience may substitute).
  • •Possess and supply the required set of hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older.
  • •Hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; safe driving and a 3 YR MVR review are required, with ability to obtain/maintain the Driver Qualification File.
