Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage development, updating, and required submittals of facility emergency action/response plans and procedures for multiple sites.
  • •Plan, develop, implement, and maintain programs and policies to ensure effective site fire protection and emergency response.
  • •Lead, support, and provide direction to ERT personnel; plan and coordinate internal and external emergency response and firefighting training for terminal teams.
  • •Coordinate/manages emergency management drills and exercises to test facility systems and response capabilities.
  • •Support audits (OSHA, internal, USCG, and 3rd-party) and act as secondary leadership for Gulf employees’ health and safety, including leading incident investigations and corrective/preventive actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, Fire Safety, or a related field (equivalent experience/tenure may be accepted).
  • •Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in terminal or petrochemical facilities with responsibilities/oversight of ERTs and safety programs.
  • •Hands-on industrial/petrochemical emergency response and firefighting experience, including knowledge of regulatory emergency response compliance standards.
  • •Comprehensive working knowledge of OSHA Health and Safety Regulations and ability to pass a respiratory protection medical exam.
  • •Completion of ICS100/200/300/400/700/800; ability to obtain a Class B driver’s license for fire trucks; ability to attain a TWIC; and completion/passing of drug screen, background check, and respirator fit test.
