Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and manage a code-first Azure platform with automated provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • •Assess and/or build existing Azure environments to inform modernization and target architecture decisions.
  • •Serve as a trusted advisor/client-facing lead for architecture design and build for IT infrastructure and platforms.
  • •Design Azure tenant structure (management groups, subscriptions, landing zones, networking, and resource organization) and define cloud standards (naming, tagging, policies) documented in ADRs.
  • •Develop secure networking/connectivity patterns, implement IaC standards and CI/CD/GitOps workflows, and produce operational documentation/runbooks to support long-term maintainability.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven Azure expertise, including Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, and subscription design for large-scale government or regulated environments.
  • •Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and GitOps.
  • •Must have scripting experience with tools such as Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
  • •Design identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, and Conditional Access.
  • •Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud) and experience with ATO processes is desired.
