Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data platform systems end to end, from ambiguous customer/operational needs through architecture, implementation, deployment, observability, incident response, and ongoing support.
  • •Design and maintain batch and streaming ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and serving paths for fleet and operational telemetry, including cost, capacity, utilization, and scheduling.
  • •Build shared libraries and workflow/DAG abstractions, develop deployment tooling, data contracts, and paved-road patterns to improve team speed and safety.
  • •Engineer reliable distributed workloads, diagnosing correctness and performance across SQL engines, Spark jobs, storage systems, networks, and cloud services with retries, idempotency, backfills, and schema evolution.
  • •Improve quality and operations with automated tests, data-quality checks, lineage/freshness monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and secure platform practices including least privilege and auditability.

Salary: USD 140,000 - 270,250 annually

Key Requirements

  • •BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •5+ years building and operating production software, data platforms, backend infrastructure, databases, or distributed systems.
  • •Strong production proficiency in Python (and SQL) with solid software-engineering fundamentals.
  • •Deep hands-on experience in distributed data processing (e.g., Spark), and/or scalable relational/distributed/analytical database architecture and operation.
  • •Experience operating production services or pipelines in a cloud environment, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, rollback, and incident response.
