Job Summary

Lead and grow the site medium- to long-term mine planning team, setting quarterly and 5-year planning alongside mine design and sequencing strategies. Accountable for technical systems and processes in the Mine Technical Services organization, partnering with operations and the Life of Mine team to deliver planning outcomes. Provide leadership in the field through coaching and mentoring, and support short-term 2-week plan processes to help deliver product to the rail system at Simandou.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and build the site mine planning team for medium- to long-term planning (quarterly and 5-year plans) aligned to the Life of Mine plan.
•Lead development and implementation of short- and medium-term mine design and sequencing strategies.
•Provide accountability for technical systems/processes while working with operations and the Life of Mine team.
•Provide leadership in the field, including technical/professional coaching and mentoring for the Technical Services team.
•Manage delivery of planning support including short-term (2-week) plans to support product delivery to the rail system and communicate design/strategy updates to contractors.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or relevant qualifications/experience.
•5+ years? (Explicitly: experience in large scale mining operations of 10+ years leading mine planning functions and teams.
•Detailed knowledge of mine planning processes and mine operations.
•French and English capability (written and/or spoken) is advantageous.
