Key Responsibilities

  • •Comply with safe operating practices and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, and complete follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Independently determine required parts and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department to obtain them.
  • •Use hand tools, precision instruments, trailer tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks to perform repairs such as brakes, air lines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Document work by completing DOT forms and repair orders, including uploading photos of work performed and parts used, using a company issued device and/or Karmak application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card (or ability to complete DOT physical and background screening).
  • •Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification (required) and OEM training/certifications preferred.
