Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop power electronics architectures for motor drive and motor generator units.
  • •Design inverter, rectifier, bridge stages, and gate driver/protection/isolation circuits for high-power switching.
  • •Select power semiconductors and perform switching/conduction loss and derating analysis, including magnetics and DC-link/EMI filter design.
  • •Perform thermal design, heatsink sizing, cooling analysis, and current/voltage sensing and feedback circuit design for closed-loop control.
  • •Support schematic and high-current/high-voltage PCB layout, simulation/verification, and power stage bring-up, integration, and qualification testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in power electronics and power motor drive hardware design.
  • •Strong knowledge of switching converter topologies (buck, boost, flyback, half/full bridge, three-phase inverter) and electrical machines (alternators, generators, starters, PMSM/BLDC/BDC).
  • •Experience designing gate drivers, including dead-time management and short-circuit/overcurrent protection.
  • •Proficiency with power electronics simulation and design verification tools (LTspice, PLECS, PSIM, or Simulink) and EMC/EMI-aware design practices.
