Job Summary

Join the Cybercrime Research team to research and track major cyber threats impacting the LATAM region. You’ll analyze threat actors and their IOCs/TTPs, leverage dark web and open-source intelligence, and develop detection and alerting content within the threat intelligence platform. The role includes building a regional threat landscape, aligning activity to MITRE ATT&CK, and producing context-rich alerts and mitigation strategies for customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze IOCs and TTPs of threat actors relevant to the Latin America threat landscape, including prevalent regional threats.
•Craft, maintain, and document detection opportunities within the threat intelligence platform.
•Manage threat actor information related to TTPs and Opsec, and perform correlation and research to create context-rich customer alerts.
•Conduct ongoing research into current threats and industry trends to keep the LATAM threat landscape up to date.
•Develop mitigation and countermeasure strategies and leverage MITRE ATT&CK to map observed activity to tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Key Requirements

•A genuine passion for investigating cybercrime and actively mitigating its impact.
•Strong understanding of the LATAM threat landscape and knowledge of threats such as ransomware, initial access brokers, banking trojans, and remote access trojans.
•Experience analyzing the cybercrime community and profiling threat actors, with deep understanding of the darkweb ecosystem.
•Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) plus understanding of network technologies, data transfer protocols, and OS architecture.
•Fluency in Spanish and English, and experience working with threat research sources such as VirusTotal, Urlscan, Shodan, RiskIQ, and public sandboxes.
