Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a portfolio of bridge and related schemes, acting as Technical Lead and Project Manager through inspection, assessment, feasibility, detailed design, procurement, site supervision, and construction.
  • •Deliver compliant designs with clients and design teams on time and within budget, meeting H&S, CDM, QA, and technical review requirements.
  • •Prepare and review reports, calculations, drawings, schedules, H&S risk assessments, feasibility studies, and other project documents.
  • •Write proposals for new schemes, including cost estimates, and manage the commercial position on projects.
  • •Provide line management duties and support the development of junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer status is anticipated.
  • •Practical experience with bridge design, maintenance, strengthening, assessment, inspection, and supervision from both construction sites and design office work.
  • •Practical project management experience for bridge projects across their lifecycle.
  • •Working knowledge of DMRB and MCHW for structural schemes.
  • •Understanding and experience using Eurocodes for bridge design and the design/assessment of steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges, and masonry arch structures.
