Job Summary

Join a UK Water Resources team delivering hydraulic modelling projects across the UK. You will undertake 1D-2D modelling for flood risk, support environmental statements, collaborate with graduates, and work within budgets and schedules to produce high-quality deliverables.

Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Take ownership of hydraulic modelling delivery and complete technical work to high quality standards within budgets and programmes.
•Undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial, surface water and tidal flooding and contribute to Flood Risk Assessments and related studies.
•Produce hydraulic modelling reports and liaise with private/public sector clients and regulators.
•Support and mentor graduate team members to develop their skills and deliver projects effectively.
•Collaborate with senior modellers and other team members to ensure sustainable design and delivery across UK water projects.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
•Experience in 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling within water consulting using Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM.
•Experience in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo).
•Experience in producing hydraulic modelling reporting deliverables.
•Track record delivering flood risk and water management projects with clients and regulators.
