Key Responsibilities

  • •Schedule outbound carrier appointments for LTL, FTL, shuttle, and customer pick-ups while optimizing dock utilization.
  • •Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, packing lists, pallet tags, and customer-required paperwork; ensure information accuracy for compliance.
  • •Process shipments in ERP/WMS systems to maintain real-time order status, lot allocations, and trailer numbers, including seal and temperature verification logs.
  • •Ensure outbound documentation and shipping records meet SQF/BRC, FSMA, USDA, and customer-specific traceability and cold-chain requirements.
  • •Act as a point of contact for outbound order status, shipping windows, and documentation needs, and support freight claims documentation as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •1–3 years of logistics, shipping, scheduling, or administrative experience within manufacturing (food preferred).
  • •Strong understanding of outbound logistics processes, BOL creation, and carrier appointment systems.
  • •Knowledge of GMPs, food safety practices, lot tracking, and cold-chain requirements.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, RedPrairie, etc.).
  • •Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
