Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct hands-on material and failure analysis using lab techniques including sample preparation (micro-cleaver, ion mill etcher, mechanical polish) and characterization tools (SEM/EDX, Dual beam FIB, TEM).
  • •Collect and analyze data using lab equipment and support implementation of materials characterization techniques with engineers across organizations.
  • •Support and sustain lab equipment and ensure analytical capabilities are in place for advanced transistor/interconnect technology and product development.
  • •Contribute to development of improved/new tools and best-known methods, providing lab hub support for process/product ramp and production startup.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or a STEM field related to semiconductor manufacturing, plus 2+ hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • •OR an associate degree in a STEM field related to semiconductor manufacturing, plus 4+ years of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • •Hands-on experience performing lab work and/or supporting semiconductor manufacturing analysis.
  • •1+ years of experience in AFM and/or x-ray analysis/diffraction (TXRF, XRF, XRD/XRR), surface analysis (XPS, SIMS/TOFSIMS), electron spectroscopy/imaging (SEM/TEM/EDX), and/or FIB techniques.
  • •Familiarity with laboratory techniques and methods.
