Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the basic pattern process, selection, and definition of basic pattern requirements based on future business needs.
  • •Support the global basic pattern process to ensure fit consistency, including evaluating and implementing standard grading rules.
  • •Develop new basic and model patterns, drive 2D/3D pattern creation with cross-functional partners, maintain pattern data in product creation systems, and support wear testing as needed.
  • •Consolidate basic patterns across business units, align creation center needs, and serve as the point of contact for basic pattern topics for the assigned category.
  • •Support digital pattern initiatives (including tool development and smart solutions), train and advise global teams and Tier 1 suppliers, and manage testing of new patterns and garment constructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Technical college/fashion school/university degree in pattern making/grading or “Meisterbrief” (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 2 years of related work experience in apparel pattern engineering.
  • •Advanced knowledge of pattern creation and grading, with cost-efficient pattern solutions and understanding of apparel construction and material properties related to fit.
  • •Ability to interpret and evaluate designs at model level for pattern execution/engineering and related testing.
  • •Advanced skills in Gerber (or similar CAD programs) and strong knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing, and production.
