Key Responsibilities

  • •Install building automation systems and temperature control systems, including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices.
  • •Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications; prepare for on-site installation by reviewing building layouts and coordinating materials and work.
  • •Maintain assigned stock of inventory and company equipment; enforce safety standards and ensure security and accountability of company assets.
  • •Complete and submit job paperwork, including daily time, progress, and job duration, and maintain required files.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent, with typically 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/controls (technical school/formal training preferred).
  • •Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
  • •Knowledge of low-voltage electricity and electronics troubleshooting, direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • •Participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations (including DUI, hit & run, or reckless/careless driving) in the prior 3 years.
