Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, and briefings/presentations, and provide referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials; coordinate and publicize Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences and respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
