Job Summary

Perform quality control testing and record keeping for concrete and aggregate products, including aggregate gradations, specific gravities, and moisture testing at the plant and in the lab. Conduct concrete field tests such as air, slump, unit weight, and casting test specimens, while following specifications and maintaining basic material records. Partner with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers, and QC personnel to help resolve quality issues and support service coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•Test concrete and aggregate products for quality and conformance to specifications.
•Perform and document plant and lab tests including gradations, specific gravities, and moisture testing.
•Conduct concrete field tests (air, slump, unit weight) and cast concrete test specimens.
•Maintain basic material record keeping and ensure tests follow instructions and procedures.
•Coordinate with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers, and QC personnel to resolve quality issues; work flexible shifts as needed.

Key Requirements

•Perform concrete and aggregate quality control tests and maintain accurate records.
•Understand materials including rock, sand, cement, flyash, and chemical admixtures.
•Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers, and QC personnel.
•Hold a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and have 1–2 years of prior QC experience (preferred).
•Pass the MSHA Safety course and follow work requirements including basic math and written communication.
