Job Summary

Operate production rendering equipment and support plant operations by unloading and washing trailers, tankers, and reefers, monitoring cookers, and maintaining clean work areas. Load trucks, keep the control room running, complete accurate paperwork, and perform routine maintenance such as lubrication checks, oil and belt changes, equipment PM, and auger inspections. Assist maintenance as needed while following Tyson safety culture and site policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture while performing assigned production roles.
•Unload and wash trailers, tankers, and reefers; monitor cookers and wash all areas of the plant.
•Load trucks, maintain the control room, and complete accurate paperwork.
•Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, and perform equipment PM and auger inspections.
•Assist maintenance when needed while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Salary: USD 18.95 - 25.8 hourly

•Mechanical/maintenance skills listed in your work history or skills section on your application.
•Willingness to work shift A, B, C, or D; applicants must be 18 years of age.
•Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting up to 60 pounds and climbing stairs/ladders up to 30 feet in hot/cold and inclement weather.
•Ability to obtain required certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader.
•Basic ability with hand tools and mechanical/maintenance skills such as troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance, plus basic computer skills.
