Job Summary

Senior electrical design role within an engineering consultancy in India. Lead project design activities, coordinate with WSP UK Building Specialists Team, develop LV electrical layouts and single-line diagrams, and use Amtech/Trimble Pro-design, Relux/Dialux, Revit MEP and AutoCAD to deliver compliant designs across multi-discipline projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Undertake electrical services designs from feasibility to detailed design (RIBA Stage 4) covering LV distribution, LV single-line diagrams, LV standby generation, LV discrimination, UPS systems, cable calculations, distribution board schedules, lighting calculations, small power, fire alarms, intruder detection, access control and data cabling.
•Collaborate with mechanical, architectural and civil/structural engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
•Communicate effectively internally and externally to stakeholders and project teams.
•Develop electrical design layouts and LV single-line diagrams in AutoCAD and other design tools.
•Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

•Good interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
•Customer focus, commitment to quality management and problem solving.
•Experience in electrical engineering design on capital projects.
•Experience of motor controls including variable speed drives.
•Working understanding of latest electrical design software packages to allocate/direction of work on projects.
