Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure mineral resources for open pit and underground operations are developed and understood in line with the global resource strategy.
  • •Create, update, and review geological and metal resource models used to plan extraction of the resource.
  • •Sign off as Competent Person/Qualified Person on Mineral Resources, maintain resource and reserve assurance/governance, and support reporting across jurisdictions.
  • •Provide timely geological input into key decisions, scheduling, production, and reconciliation activities.
  • •Prepare and deliver statutory resource reports and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders, while improving resource model accuracy using emerging technologies.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a relevant discipline.
  • •Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in resource geology, with significant experience in geological modelling and resource estimation.
  • •Competitive knowledge of exploration geochemistry/geophysics and how it applies to mineral exploration.
  • •Knowledge of international Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve reporting codes and mineral classifications (JORC, NI 43-101, SEC S-K 1300, and Mongolian classification code).
  • •Professional membership with eligibility to act as a Competent Person under JORC or Qualified Person under NI 43-101/SEC S-K 1300 (Mongolian licensing is an advantage).
