Key Responsibilities

  • •Observe and assist with basic inspection and testing activities, including work in low, medium, or high voltage systems
  • •Assist with routine field tasks such as using testing instruments and protection and controls testing
  • •Observe and learn site safety practices including proper use of PPE
  • •Recognize and report unsafe conditions, malfunctioning equipment, or unclear instructions to supervisors
  • •Maintain consistent attendance and communicate about assignments

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent
  • •Some experience in electrical testing or related job capacity
  • •Some experience or demonstrated interest in field service work, in medium and high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation protection and controls testing
  • •Completion of electrical circuits analysis series, or other courses with AC power system theory
  • •Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
