Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Advanced Development Software workstream, including technical strategy, roadmap, architecture, algorithm development, feasibility assessment, proof-of-concept, and decision-making.
  • •Represent the AD Software workstream as a Core Team member to ensure technical alignment, define success criteria and performance measures, manage risks, and influence cross-functional planning.
  • •Mentor software engineers, scientists, and algorithm developers and act as the primary technical escalation point for software workstream issues.
  • •Develop, tune, verify, and validate advanced computer vision, image processing, and AI-enabled ultrasound algorithms.
  • •Collaborate with Philips Ultrasound on image-guided intervention features to be included in a medical imaging software application.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years developing medical imaging, computer vision, image processing, robotics, navigation, or AI algorithms, including leading cross-functional R&D in regulated medical device environments.
  • •Experience with ultrasound imaging, image processing, medical image analysis, computer vision, machine learning/deep learning, navigation systems, and medical imaging workflows.
  • •Hands-on development tools and workflows including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, and build/DevOps tooling such as CMake and Jenkins, plus GitHub actions.
  • •Programming experience in C++, Python, MATLAB (or equivalent), with algorithm verification, validation, and performance evaluation.
  • •PhD or MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Robotics, or a related technical field.
