Lead a squad within the RiskNarrative platform, serving as a subject matter expert for software engineers. You’ll write and review code, translate complex product needs into designs, and resolve challenging bugs and technical issues. Drive engineering best practices through code reviews and disciplined development processes across Agile and Waterfall. Provide direction, mentor direct reports, and support planning, hiring, and execution of secure, scalable platform delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical direction and guidance as a subject matter expert for a team of software engineers.
•Write and review specifications and develop system components; translate product requirements into software designs.
•Serve as an initial escalation point for software development issues and resolve complex technical problems.
•Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall).
•Manage and mentor direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and coaching.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,400 - 192,300 annually

Key Requirements

•BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
•Software engineering experience using development languages including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, and JSP.
•Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
•Strong experience designing and working with complex data models, including normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
•Experience setting and achieving business objectives through direct management of others, including planning, scheduling, change management, and delegation.
