Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the development and presentation of lighting concepts, narratives, and design strategies across project stages.
  • •Produce lighting designs, sketches, calculations, drawings, specifications, and support preparation of design reports, proposals, and lighting control schematics.
  • •Assist in detailed design drawings and luminaire detailing, and integrate lighting within architecture and landscape.
  • •Gather client requirements, maintain positive communication with project stakeholders, and support technical delivery from concept through design development.
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines and support documentation for planning applications, tender submissions, construction packages, and as-built documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with lighting through internships, placements, or academic exposure in a lighting design, architectural, engineering, or related consultancy environment.
  • •A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification/experience) in Architecture, Lighting Design, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Understanding of lighting design principles and interest in gaining experience across different project types and delivery methods.
  • •Interest in creative lighting concepts that enhance wellbeing and communicate ideas through clear visual and written storytelling.
  • •Experience using lighting modelling and calculation software, preferably DIALux evo; plus Revit and AutoCAD with willingness to further develop skills.
