Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, steer, monitor, and control the P&C MidCorp Property portfolio to achieve profitable growth and financial targets (e.g., LR, combined ratio, forward-looking KPIs).
  • •Ensure compliance with relevant Group standards and Allianz Rules for Technical Management in P/C.
  • •Develop and execute underwriting strategy and guidelines for the assigned Property line of business, collaborating with Underwriting to implement it.
  • •Manage exceptional underwriting referrals within assigned authorization, including facultative reinsurance needs in collaboration with the Reinsurance Department.
  • •Define technical product and pricing development for the full Property proposition; track macroeconomic developments and translate them into portfolio management actions while identifying market opportunities with other functions.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in economics/business orientation.
  • •Proven track record as an Underwriter in Property or in portfolio steering.
  • •Project management experience, including leading and steering projects in a large organization.
  • •Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
  • •Comfort with figures and tools like AI, Excel, and dashboarding, plus strong stakeholder discussion and influence.
