  • •Develop research objectives/proposals and contribute to research funding bid writing.
  • •Analyse and interpret gravitational-wave and astrophysics data to improve scientific understanding.
  • •Develop and implement analysis approaches for single-source and population studies for nanohertz observations.
  • •Disseminate research findings through publications, seminars, posters, and other research outputs.
  • •Supervise/support students and contribute to research-related administration and institute/school activities.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD (or near to completion) in Physics, Astrophysics, or a related subject.
  • •High level analytical capability and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • •Expertise in high-level Bayesian and/or frequentist statistical data analysis, including stochastic processes.
  • •Experience using and/or developing machine learning techniques for probabilistic inference in gravitational-wave analysis.
  • •Fluency in high-performance and/or high-throughput computing and expertise analysing pulsar timing array datasets.
