Key Responsibilities

  • •Own offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across EMEA end to end, including for-cause terminations, redundancies, mutual separations, and contentious exits.
  • •Lead or support disciplinary hearings and dispute resolution across EMEA, including conciliation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
  • •Conduct case intake, fact-finding, and compliance risk assessments for EMEA employee relations matters and guide teams through statutory due process to settlement and clearance.
  • •Review termination notices, separation agreements, position statements, and evidence to ensure they are defensible and aligned with local labor laws and jurisprudence.
  • •Coordinate externally with counsel across EMEA and partner with internal teams (HR Advisory, Customer Success, Sales, Payroll, Onboarding, Product, and Legal) to strengthen offboarding frameworks and improve workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree (JD/LLB or equivalent) and active admission to the Bar (or equivalent qualifying body) in an EMEA jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • •6–10 years of post-qualification experience in EMEA employment law, including first-chair experience in agency proceedings, employment tribunals, arbitrations, and disciplinary/grievance hearings.
  • •Demonstrated employment litigation track record, including drafting position statements and pleadings, witness preparation, hearing advocacy, and assessing exposure (reinstatement, back pay, damages).
  • •Deep knowledge of EMEA labor regulations covering termination, due process, and unfair or wrongful dismissal.
  • •Experience managing employee lifecycle matters (e.g., PIPs, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, for-cause and redundancy terminations).
