Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide end-to-end legal oversight during ideation, prototype, pilot and commercialization of Mastercard’s financial inclusion and sustainability products and services
  • •Draft and negotiate contracts including complex product and technology agreements, partnerships, pilot agreements, licenses, and terms of enrollment
  • •Identify, manage and mitigate legal and commercial risks within new product consumer experiences and transaction flows
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with data privacy, IP, antitrust, regulatory affairs, public policy, and franchise teams to support global product strategy
  • •Ensure compliance with applicable laws and government regulations and assist with training materials, product guides, and development activities

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum six years of solid technology, commercial transactions, complex negotiations, and/or payments experience
  • •Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • •Able to analyze core legal issues and explain technical problems clearly
  • •Working knowledge of data privacy, regulatory, and intellectual property issues related to emerging technology
  • •Interest in sustainability and financial inclusion is a plus; experience or interest in AI for operational excellence is favorable
