Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles, equipment, and Class IX materiel.
  • •Support equipment turn-in operations by hauling assets from Army units to the site or designated locations.
  • •Perform PMCS before, during, and after operations and coordinate repairs for deficiencies.
  • •Maintain driver logs, trip tickets, fuel records, and inspection sheets; complete shipping and transport documents (e.g., DD Form 1348-1A, DD Form 626, DD Form 836).
  • •Ensure load securement, comply with DOT/OSHA/Army safety and HAZMAT transport rules, and report accidents/incidents/discrepancies immediately.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B as required).
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • •3–5 years of heavy truck driving experience; prior Army or contractor logistics experience preferred.
  • •HAZMAT endorsement preferred/required if hauling hazardous materials.
  • •Basic proficiency in English (reading/writing) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
