Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on development planning projects for private and public sector clients, supporting transport and parking strategy development and scheme development through the planning process.
  • •Lead technical transport planning inputs across projects, including transport strategies, inputs into masterplans, and support with Expert Witness evidence.
  • •Prepare traffic flow information for Transport Assessments and/or Environmental Statements and manage junction capacity modelling using Junctions 10 and Linsig.
  • •Provide project management and leadership on small to medium scale projects and support senior colleagues on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • •Mentor Early Career Professionals and share technical knowledge within the team and with stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading technical work across Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, and active travel provision using relevant guidance (e.g., NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, Manual for Streets).
  • •Experience preparing traffic flow information for use in Transport Assessments and/or Environmental Statements.
  • •Hands-on experience setting up and running junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 and Linsig, including understanding inputs, outputs, and scenario testing.
  • •Ability to undertake project management on small to medium scale projects (e.g., budget planning, resource planning, invoicing).
  • •Capability to undertake and/or supervise conceptual junction design (priority, roundabout, signals) and confidently communicate with clients and stakeholders.
