Job Summary

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for out-patients within the scope of practice, following UAE Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and regulatory licensure. Support registered nurses in planning, delivering, and documenting patient care, monitor vital signs, observe and report changes, and respond to emergencies. Complete mandatory training and competency requirements, contribute to quality improvement, participate in audits, and support patient education and post-discharge clinic coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs within scope of practice, while upholding UAE Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and licensure requirements.
•Under supervision of the Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife, assist in activities of daily living, provide direct patient care, and ensure the RN is informed of vital sign observations and care provided.
•Observe and report changes in a patient’s condition or reactions immediately; respond to emergencies according to organizational policies and procedures.
•Maintain up-to-date mandatory training and competency requirements, and support learning culture through journal clubs and professional development programs.
•Participate in quality assurance and governance activities, including incident reporting, audits, and improving patient outcomes and service delivery.

Key Requirements

•Hold an appropriate license to work as an assistant nurse/assistant midwife in the relevant regulatory health authority, with required qualification and experience.
•Manage their own professional re-licensure.
•Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
•Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
•Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
