Job Summary

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems at a high-volume chemical and fuels storage terminal. Perform loop checks, functional testing, and PLC programming, support automation systems (tank gauging, loading/unloading controls, vapor recovery, overfill protection), and execute preventive maintenance via CMMS work orders. Diagnose and repair equipment including VFDs, UPS, and emergency shutdown systems, participate in root cause analysis, and ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot process instrumentation (load controllers, pressure/temperature/level/flow transmitters, and control valves).
•Perform loop checks, functional testing, and PLC programming and support other automation platforms.
•Support terminal automation systems including tank gauging, loading/unloading controls, vapor recovery, and overfill protection systems.
•Conduct preventive maintenance per schedules and CMMS work orders; diagnose and repair VFDs, UPS, and emergency shutdown systems.
•Comply with safety, health, and environmental policies (including LOTO, hot work permits, confined space entry, and hazardous area classifications) and respond to emergency call-outs/after-hours needs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or equivalent work experience.
•Minimum 3–5 years of E&I experience in an industrial setting, preferably chemical, petroleum, refining, or terminal operations.
•Valid Driver’s License; TWIC required or ability to obtain; Electrical Journeyman and ISA CCST preferred.
•Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, PLCs, schematics, and P&IDs.
•Ability to work in hazardous environments, lift 50+ lbs, and work at heights.
