Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance of production equipment in the assigned area, including piping, sheet metal, and minor electrical work.
  • •Maintain compressed air lines and required instrumentation, and assist other mechanics as directed.
  • •Complete annual machine overhauls and all mechanical work necessary for scheduled maintenance.
  • •Operate man-lifts, tractor, required maintenance shop equipment, and a plant pick-up truck as needed.
  • •Maintain clean-up after assignments, follow safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, support Food Safety requirements, and record complete work in log books.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24.1 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Perform mechanical maintenance using common hand tools, power tools, and test equipment such as a continuity tester and volt-ammeter.
  • •Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings, and be able to write/print legible records and complete work logs.
  • •Be able to perform MIG and TIG welding and metal fabrication, including machine guards, from blueprints, sketches, or instructions.
  • •Provide own personal hand tools and not be sensitive to powder or solvents; complete 21 Home Study Courses in the appropriate time.
  • •Maintain safe work practices and follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety role requirements; be willing to work overtime as needed.
