Job Summary

Support technical staff, engineers, and project managers across due diligence and delivery of utility, industrial, and commercial projects. Assist with substation and power distribution design work, including diagrams, layouts, grounding and lightning protection, and electrical calculations. Help ensure compliance with IEEE/NESC/NERC and applicable codes, generate accurate reports and documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on permitting, procurement packages, and field/site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data for substation components, equipment specifications, and design review processes.
•Perform basic professional electrical engineering design work for single-line/three-line diagrams, substation layout, grounding grid, and lightning protection.
•Provide technical assistance on equipment sizing, cabling, AC/DC panel design, and conduit and trenching design strategies.
•Develop electrical calculations (loads, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, and power distribution).
•Write technical reports and support risk identification and assessment in coordination with project teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
•Exposure to operations and project controls experience for purposes of reporting.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design/build, and application to permitting and project work-related issues.
•Experience with discipline-specific design software (e.g., CADD, Aspen, CAPE, ETAP) and AutoCADD electrical.
