Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead in delivering policy to ensure high quality and successful outcomes for all students, embodying the academy’s values and ethos.
  • •Shape the vision and direction for the phase by setting high expectations focused on standards, teaching quality, and pupil achievement.
  • •Monitor, evaluate, and continuously review phase quality and effectiveness across curriculum standards, teaching, learning environments, assessment, inclusive education, and pastoral care.
  • •Develop, share, and implement new pedagogy and strategies across the phase while inspiring and influencing staff and students.
  • •Implement, review, and measure impact of the whole School Development Plan and School Evaluation Framework within the phase; lead recruitment and whole-school responsibilities as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Education or BSc with PGCE (or equivalent) is essential.
  • •At least 3 years teaching experience, including 3 consecutive years of performance exceeding standards and expectations as evidenced by performance appraisal.
  • •Wide experience and impact in a Middle Leadership role.
  • •Minimum of 1 year experience in the same role.
  • •A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
