Job Summary

Lead health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for a lithium mine and processing plant site in Silver Peak. As part of the site leadership team, you’ll ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, oversee auditing and management engagement, and drive effective training aligned with MSHA and OSHA. You’ll supervise a small HSE-focused team, manage emergency response, and lead or delegate HSE improvements and investigations.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure compliance with government safety and environmental regulations and company expectations.
•Serve as the site subject matter expert and HSE leader for the site leadership team.
•Oversee the HSE program, including safety auditing and management engagement across the site.
•Lead site HSE training programs and develop/manage a safety training program aligned with MSHA and OSHA standards.
•Oversee the emergency response team and lead/delegate HSE improvements and investigations, including safety reporting for internal and external audiences.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of chemical manufacturing, petroleum industry, or mining experience in safety program management.
•B.S. technical degree.
•Training experience.
•Experience in safety compliance auditing.
•Experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety systems, processes, and procedures.
