Job Summary

Drive fund onboarding and client servicing for Blackstone’s Private Wealth unit in Tokyo. Manage onboarding projects for open-ended and closed-end funds across onshore/offshore platforms, deliver operational services to clients and partners, and coordinate with multiple internal business units while trouble-shooting and leading initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Job Function: Executive & General Management

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the firm-wide fund onboarding working group as a project manager for Blackstone open-ended and closed-end funds with onshore and offshore distribution platforms, including creating, updating, and maintaining task trackers, distributing meeting summaries, and conducting offline follow-ups.
•Set up and ensure that operational services are effectively delivered to clients and internal/external business partners.
•Provide daily client servicing primarily to Operational/Product oversight functions at distributors, local asset managers, and fund administrators, while interacting closely with internal Business Units: Blackstone Private Wealth (BXPW); Private Equity; Credit; Hedge Funds; Life Science and Real Estate.
•Conduct daily troubleshooting with minimal oversight, while remaining well connected with the relevant teams.
•Plan and execute various project and initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree.
•1+ year for Analyst, 4+ years for Associate, 7+ years for VP of financial industry experience; fund/distributor onboarding, project management, or client services experience is preferred but not required.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English; Korean is a plus.
•An understanding of fund structuring and operating models is desirable.
•Proficient in Microsoft 365 including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook; adaptability to systems and change.
