Job Summary

Lead and/or support sector-leading procurement projects and programmes as the procurement SME. Design delivery models, contract strategies, and route-to-market; manage competitive procurement processes; advise on commercial aspects and category management; contribute to work-winning efforts; collaborate with teams to deliver high-value, multi-discipline outcomes for UK & Ireland clients in infrastructure and construction.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and / or support in sector leading projects and programmes, as the strategic procurement subject matter expert.
•Provide procurement advice including understanding client drivers and project success factors, to then lead them through the process of designing the optimum delivery model, contract strategy, commercial model and route to market for their project.
•Manage the competitive procurement process including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, tender document development, tender management, evaluation, and negotiation.
•Provide advice on commercial aspects, category management and performance management.
•Support work winning activity including contributing to proposal documentation.

Key Requirements

•Five years post-qualification knowledge and experience leading the procurement of complex construction and infrastructure projects.
•Experience managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing through to contract management.
•Proven project / programme management experience including ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
•Possess strong people skills and be an effective communicator, able to influence, challenge and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
•Experience in areas such as strategic sourcing, category management and contract management.
