Key Responsibilities

  • •Remediate security findings from ACAS/Tenable reports, STIG assessments, and other cybersecurity outputs using hands-on maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting on Windows Server 2019/2022.
  • •Implement and maintain compliance with security policies and directives, including DISA STIGs, Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), and Operations Orders (OPORDs).
  • •Build, deploy, maintain, and secure server applications and proprietary software in line with security best practices.
  • •Develop and document mitigation strategies and POA&Ms for vulnerabilities that cannot be immediately remediated.
  • •Track, prioritize, and escalate vulnerabilities and non-compliant configurations; prepare compliance status reporting, documentation, and process guides.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess an applicable Intermediate DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification.
  • •Have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance preferred) or 3 years of real-world/military experience in information assurance, network security, or systems administration.
  • •Strong systems administration experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, including patching and troubleshooting.
  • •Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement DoW cybersecurity orders and procedures, including STIGs, CTOs, and IAVMs, with strong POA&M understanding.
  • •Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS/Tenable, RMF, eMASS, Endpoint Security Systems (ESS), Trellix, and Splunk; ability to automate using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
