Key Responsibilities

•Lead US Federal & State Income Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions in partnership with external advisors.
•Shape the Tax Provision Process: Be a key contributor to the quarterly and annual ASC 740 provision — current/deferred taxes, rate rec, RTP, valuation allowance, and UTPs — as we mature toward public-company readiness.
•Scale Indirect Tax: Assist multi-state sales & use tax — nexus, taxability, exemption certificates, and audits — in a business where physical products, manufacturing footprint, and customer base are expanding fast.
•Support R&D Credit Studies: Partner with external advisors and engineering stakeholders to gather data, coordinate interviews, and support documentation for federal and state R&D credit claims.
•Process & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and implement automation/tools (e.g., Avalara, OneSource, Excel) to support scale.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 99,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
•4+ years of progressive tax experience, with a mix of Big 4 / large public accounting and/or in-house corporate tax
•Strong working knowledge of US federal and multi-state income tax, and ASC 740 tax provision
•Proficiency with tax compliance and provision software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, Avalara, Vertex)
•Advanced Excel skills; comfort with large data sets
